The plot was intense and full of action. The story itself is pure Verne: I loved all of the dialogue and all of the conversations were so great! The whole book is action-packed, involving clashes with air pirates and daring escapes from perilous situations. It turned out to be quite a long story, really a short novel, and I rewrote it the next summer. It could work as a standalone though it is part of a larger trilogy. I never heard back from Roald Dahl directly, but he read my story, and liked it enough to pass on to his own literary agent.

The other airbrn of this particular audiobook was that is was performed by Full Cast Audio. And will they figure it out before pirates and shipwreck end their voyage forever? And fine, if you have to make her thus, do so.
