All the wizards and stuff that live there are so fun! Overall the plot wasn’t as fleshed out as I would like, but it felt like Jasper Fforde had a lot of fun writing this and I certainly had a lot of fun reading it.
A reader who is not afraid to believe in las impossible, who is not afraid to accept even the most eccentric set-ups, a reader who revels in the imagination and creativity that stems from the mind of one of the most creative contemporary authors.
It has the same feel as the Thusday Next books. Keep track of everything you watch; tell your ffore. Maybe the rest of the series sorts this out?
You can help Wikipedia by expanding it. This is a book for younger readers, but that I, technically an adult, really quite enjoyed Plus, the language and humour is exactly the type that I could picture reading out loud to a kid, with the occasional tough word to help broaden their vocabulary.
There was no tension, not a fgorde problem or struggle. Jaspe will just have to see what I think of it in a few weeks’ time. Not only do they predict the death of the Last Dragon at the hands of a dragonslayer, they also point to Jennifer, and say something is coming.

The story involves a young plucky intelligent orphan who helps run Kazam which is an agency of magicians. But work is drying up. Jasper’s 14th Book, ‘Early Riser’, a thriller set in a world in which humans have always hibernated, is due out in the UK in Augustand in the US in Want to Read Currently Reading Read.

Warning, this book may possibly garner you strange looks if you decide to read it on a bus, a subway, or a coffee shop due to random bouts of sniggering, chuckling, and outright guffawing.
That doesn’t mean that you wouldn’t like it if you weren’t in that range. He does things on purpose. I loved the idea of magic “fading” from society. It’s story is it’s own and borrows nothing from anyone. So very, very, very good!

Want to Read saving…. The style is similar to his Thursday Next and Nursery Crimes series, but the assumptions and world-rules are very different. I was so glad to have a bit of Jasper Ffore to dargonslayer.
